Passable Application but needs improvement
What I like about the application:
1. It is very customizeable. I only use it for language study but it along with the mobile version has a bounty of options for studying. I would say it has more than I’m using now, but I can see myself playing around with the mutliple memorization options in the application.
2. It hardly ever crashes.
Cons:
1. Dated UI. I really would like to get rid of the “real world” look. I’m sure they are working on something and this is honestly the least of my complaints.
2. Editing/Creating slides is more tedious than it needs to be. I wish I could zoom out on the slides when looking at them in grid view so I can organize them better in this view.
3. I wish it was easier to create templates. Right now it is too many steps. I should be able to click File>New Template and make one from there.
4. It would be nice to be able to have “tiered” slides. I would like to be able to see the Word, then have to first know one element of it, then another, and another, etc. The multi faceted option doesn’t quite work this way because I can’t dictate which “facet” comes first as far as I know.
5. iCloud sync should be AUTOMATIC. I shouldn’t have to force sync on either the desktop or mobile application.
This application has been good for me, and I don’t knwo of any better ones on the market. This along with the mobile application sure beats creating note cards, but a number of improvements could be made.
