From great, to good, to bad, to awful
The concept is fantastic, and in the past has been a wonderful way to study. However, things have gone downhill with the latest updates. I still use the desktop version on my laptop, but the mobile (both iPad and iPhone) versions are unusable.
There are signficiant issues with this app:
1) The iCloud sync is nonfunctional. It used to work well, but with the last two updates has completely become defunct. PLEASE FIX THIS. Many of us who paid quite a bit of money for this app did so becuase of this feature, only to discover that it does not work. If you are going to take our money, we expect a functional product. Anything less is robbery. Also, still unsure why WiFi sync was taken off in the newest version (and the website gives the worse explanation i.e. ”we couldn’t figure out how to make it work, but wanted to continue to sell a non-functional product.”)
2) The app is painfully slow. It can take 3-5 minutes to load a stack….assuming that the app doesn’t crash (which brings me to my next point).
3) The app crashes. Not just once in a while….it crashes every few minutes. I am running it on a brand new iPad Air, which is nimble and spritely with other apps, but Mental Case throws a stick in the wheels. Seriously, is this a beta version?
I hope these issues can be addressed. As one reviewer as pointed out, the company website offers no comofort or practicle solutions. Unfortunately, I think the Mental Case Faculty has rested on their laurels and has given up supporting their paying customers.
